Sofia Becomes a Stage for Speed – Red Bull Showrun Sofia 2025
On June 8, 2025, Sofia was unrecognizable. Its iconic boulevards — Tsar Osvoboditel and Vasil Levski — were no longer streets, but the roaring heart of a city-turned-arena. For one unforgettable day, the Bulgarian capital became the stage for a motorsport spectacle like no other.
Over 30,000 spectators lined the barriers, drawn by the raw power and precision of Red Bull Showrun. The Oracle Red Bull Racing RB7, driven by F1 legend David Coulthard and local rising star Nikola Tsolov, unleashed the roar of a V8 engine through the city’s core, igniting the crowd with every pass.
The Red Bull Driftbrothers, Elias and Johannes Hountondji, turned asphalt into artistry with their synchronized, smoke-filled drifts in twin BMW M4s. Aras “Aras” Gibieža pushed gravity to its limit on his Suzuki GSX600R, performing stunts that suspended time and breath alike.
